• La Popa Hill

    The best panoramic view of Cartagena is obtained from the La Candelaria convent, located at the top of the La Popa Hill, which owes its name to the similarity that sailors found in it with the back of a boat. The building, which was built in 1606 by the Augustinian Recollect Fathers, houses treasures such as the altar adorned with gold lamellae and oil paintings.

    The Walled City is the historic center of the city of Cartagena de Indias and has been declared both a national heritage of Colombia and a World Heritage Site.
