  • La Popa Hill

    The best panoramic view of Cartagena is obtained from the La Candelaria convent, located at the top of the La Popa Hill, which owes its name to the similarity that sailors found in it with the back of a boat. The building, which was built in 1606 by the Augustinian Recollect Fathers, houses treasures such as the altar adorned with gold lamellae and oil paintings.

  • The Walled City

    The Walled City is the historic center of the city of Cartagena de Indias and has been declared both a national heritage of Colombia and a World Heritage Site. Nobles and important people lived here in colonial times. When touring the Walled City we can find the Palace of the Inquisition, the Zenú Gold Museum and the Modern Art Museum. Also the Plaza de los Coches that presents a tour of the colonial houses and the statue of Pedro de Heredia, the Church and Convent of San Pedro de Claver and the Mayor's Office, among other perfectly preserved historical buildings of Cartagena de Indias.
